The Discraft Sting is an understable fairway driver with a long, gentle turn. Two of turn against one of fade means it drifts right and finishes soft.
That makes it a control driver for lower power and a turnover disc for stronger arms. Seven speed with five glide keeps it in the air long enough to use the turn, and it flips to flat off a hyzer without wanting to roll. It works well through gaps where a hard finish would be a problem. The single point of fade is the limit. Thrown into wind or thrown hard, the Sting turns over and stays there.
How much the Sting turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
Measured by the PDGA when the Sting was certified. Each card names discs that share the number, so you can feel it in the hand.
