Discmania started in 2006 in Finland, founded by Jussi Meresmaa — who built the brand on licensed Innova production before moving to their own, and picked up EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Finland along the way. The P/F/M/D/S line system and the Evolution plastics are what they’re known for.
The bags are deliberately a value line, and Discmania is unusually honest about it. The Starter Bag is around $14. The Fanatic Go holds up to 18 discs for about $30. The Fanatic Fly and Fanatic Sky followed in 2023, all in 600D PVC polyester, with the Sky pitched squarely as the best bag under $100.
Then at the top they do something almost no one else does: they don’t build their own flagship. The premium option is the JetPack, a co-branded Discmania GRIPeq BX3 at $229 — a specialist bag maker’s frame with Discmania’s name on it.
Read that as confidence rather than a gap. They put their effort into the $30 bag most people actually buy and partnered out the $229 one.
