Innova’s DISCatcher line is the one you’re most likely to have putted at in competition — the DISCatcher Tour is the official basket of the United States Disc Golf Championship and is approved for PDGA Majors and the Disc Golf Pro Tour. That’s a designation none of the other brands here can currently claim.
The range is genuinely wide. DISCatcher GO is the portable — 24 heavyweight chains, 27 lbs, packs into an 11″ × 17″ × 28″ shoulder bag and sets up in under a minute for about $130. Then Traveler, Sport and EZ for the backyard, up through the Pro 24 and Pro 28, and the Tour on top at $495 with a 20-year warranty.
The Pro 28 is the interesting one for anyone building a course: 28 chains in three tiers — 14 outer, 7 intermediate, 7 inner — on hot-dip galvanised coil chain, with a basket over nine inches deep. Three tiers is about killing spit-outs, which is the argument the whole industry is having.
Worth knowing: the Pro 24 carries a 5-year warranty against the Tour’s 20.
