Twelve ounces. That’s the pitch. The BTR is a backpacking stool that packs to roughly the size of a water bottle — 3″ × 3″ × 11.4″ — sets up in under ten seconds on PhantomLock legs, and holds 240 lbs. 7001 aluminium poles, detachable washable nylon mesh seat. Around $60–90.
Hillsound doesn’t market this to disc golfers, but the use case is obvious to anyone who’s played a packed tournament round. Long tee waits, a card ahead of you playing slow, ninety minutes of standing you didn’t plan for. It’s also the right seat for field work — sit between sets instead of standing through an hour of throwing.
Who buys one: the player whose day is longer than a casual round. Tournament players, league regulars, anyone playing 27 or 36 in a day.
Two honest limits. 240 lbs is the lowest capacity among comparable portable seats — check that number against yourself before you order. And the 14″ model is too low if you’re over about six foot; get the 17″ instead, at 14.1 oz. The hard feet also sink into soft ground.
