About the Innova Toro
The Innova Toro is a new disc for 2022. It is a overstable approach disc that Calvin Heimburg says is slower than the Caiman and faster than a Rhyno. He also says he likes it more as a forehand disc, but that's probably more of a preference thing than a design thing.
Toro Release Date
The Toro had a very limited release on April 7th, 2022 on the Innova Factory Store (announced on social media). We are awaiting the full release (Pre-release now available in the Factory Store). The link to the Toro in the Factory Store is here.
Our guess on the flight numbers were pretty close! They've been announced by Dave Dunipace as 4, 2, 1, 3. Note, that the Innova Factory Store lists the disc as a 4, 2, 0, 2, however Dave Dunipace announced it as a 4, 2, 1, 3. Given the talk about torque resistance, I'm thinking this is a more accurate number. They added a positive +1 of turn which we didn't anticipate. This makes the Toro extra torque resistant and makes it great for power throwers, and for those that have a tendency of turning over their forehands. It has slightly less speed and fade than the Caiman (5.5, 2, 0, 4) and more glide than the Rhyno (2, 1, 0, 3).
