About the Anax

Anax: Discraft’s overstable distance driver

The Discraft Anax is an overstable distance driver with unusual glide. Six glide against three of fade is a long flight that still finishes hard — most overstable drivers give up the carry.

That makes it a distance driver for full-power throws rather than a utility disc. Ten speed is modest for the class, so it is reachable, and the glide is what turns the overstability into distance instead of an early drop. It holds a hyzer and works into wind. Zero turn means no shaping. It will not hold an anhyzer, so every line has to be thrown on the angle you want it to finish on.

Flies like…

How much the Anax turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
