The Discraft Spectra is a 12-speed distance driver with turn in it. Two of turn against two of fade is an even shape — it works out to the right through the middle and returns at the end rather than fading the whole way.
That makes it a distance driver for a developed arm and a good disc downwind. Five glide is what stretches the shape into real yardage, and the turn means it does not demand the perfectly flat, full-power release a more overstable 12-speed asks for.
The turn is also the limit. In a headwind, or thrown harder than the shape wants, it flips past the line and does not come back; below 12 speed it fades out early and short.
How much the Spectra turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
