The Discraft Drone has positive turn and four fade at midrange speed, which puts it about as far into overstable as a mid goes. One of turn means it starts working left immediately; four fade finishes hard. Three glide keeps it low and short — this one is not floating anywhere.
That makes it a utility disc: forced hyzers, spike shots that stick where they land, forehand approaches into wind, and skip shots off hardpan. It does exactly one shape and does it every time. What it won’t do is fly straight, and it won’t go far. Thrown flat with normal midrange power it turns left almost off the hand. If you want a Discraft mid that holds a line, that’s the Buzzz.
How much the Drone turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
