Start with the thing you need to know: the Commander is sold out in every colour on Dynamic Discs’ own site, along with the Commander Cooler. Third-party stock is still floating around, but this may be between production runs or on its way out. If you find one you like, that’s the moment — and if you can’t, the Ranger below is the bag to look at instead.
What made it the top of the rank ladder: twenty in the main compartment plus two full-length vertical wall pockets, two 32 oz bottle holders, two phone pockets, a mini pocket, a scorecard and pencil holder, non-slip feet, and a chair strap — which is the tell. This was built for people who bring a stool and stay a while. Tournament rounds, doubles leagues, five hours on a course.
It’s also 4 lbs 11 oz empty and 21 inches wide with the bottles on, it gets uncomfortable in heat over repeat rounds, and the open-top flap gets in your way about as often as it helps.
Look at the Ranger instead. $174.99, twenty discs plus two putters, same rank ladder, and actually in stock. There’s a Combat Ranger at $189.99 if you want the patterned version.
