Alpha is Loft’s premium opaque plastic, the blend Loft sells its main moulds in. Loft names moulds after elements and plastics after Greek letters, so Alpha is the plastic, not a disc. Retailers put it close to Kastaplast K1 with a little less grip.
That’s a firm, durable, grippy opaque plastic: holds flight for a long time, workable in the cold. One mould is listed in it on this site.
It’s the firm end of its class. If you want a softer Loft feel, there isn’t one listed here yet.
