About the Punisher

Punisher: Discraft’s overstable distance driver

The Discraft Punisher is an overstable distance driver. Zero turn with three of fade means it does not flip under power — the harder it is thrown, the more reliably it does the same thing.

That makes it a power driver and a wind driver. It wants a full-speed backhand or a forehand, and five glide keeps it in the air long enough that the distance is real rather than just a shape. Thrown on a hyzer it holds the angle all the way down.

Twelve speed is the barrier. Without the arm to get it there the Punisher never reaches the flat part of the flight and simply fades out early, shorter and further left than the numbers suggest.

What the numbers mean

Speed12How fast it has to be thrown
Glide5How long it stays in the air
Turn0Right at high speed
Fade3Left as it slows down

Flies like…

How much the Punisher turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
