The AGL Ponderosa is an understable putter and the least stable disc in AGL’s putter lineup. High glide, a tapered shoulder and two points of turn make it turn over easily off a flat release, which is what you want for anhyzer lines and turnovers through the woods. AGL pitches it at beginners and veterans alike on the grounds that it takes a lot of the work out of putting — the glide does the carrying.
Its top later became somebody else’s disc. When AGL licensed the Gateway Wizard rim to build the Acacia, the Ponderosa top is what they put on it. If you throw both, you are throwing the same flight plate over two different rims.
How much the Ponderosa turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
