The AGL Koa is a stable putter with a straight flight and just enough stability to take power without drifting off line. Speed 2 with a single point of fade makes it a putting-line disc first and a short-approach disc second — it is designed to be thrown as well as putted, which is not true of every deep putter.
AGL names every mould after a tree, and most of them are Northern California natives: redwood, sequoia, madrone, manzanita, ponderosa, Douglas fir. The Koa is not. It is endemic to Hawaii, the wood traditionally used for outrigger canoes and surfboards, and it is one of a small handful of AGL moulds named outside the West Coast. It was PDGA-approved on 28 April 2025, in the same batch as the Elm and the Sequoia.
How much the Koa turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
