The AGL Acacia is a straight-flying putter with almost no fade, and it has the most interesting parentage of anything AGL makes. AGL licensed the Gateway Wizard design and put it under the top of their own Ponderosa — so this is, quite literally, a Wizard rim wearing an AGL flight plate. The result is glidier and straighter than the Wizard it came from, which is why it reads 3/4/0/0 rather than the Wizard’s harder finish.
In practice that makes it a putter for players who like the Wizard’s feel in the hand but want it to hold a line longer, on long putts and flat approaches. It was PDGA-approved in July 2023, near the end of AGL’s Gateway-molded era.
How much the Acacia turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
