The Gateway Charm is a 3-speed approach disc rated 3/3/0/0. Zero turn and zero fade is an unusual pair on a putter: Gateway’s description is that it holds up to backhand and sidearm power without turning over, then comes to rest flat instead of hooking on the angle you gave it. Glide of 3 keeps the distance predictable.
In the Gateway putter shelf it sits between the Magic (2/3/-1/0), which turns, and the Chief (3/3/0/1), which finishes. A small groove on the top is for sidearm grip. The obvious use is the 150-to-250-foot approach that needs to land and stay. It is not a putting putter for most people at 1.0 cm rim width, and with no fade it offers nothing in a headwind.
How much the Charm turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
