The Infinite Discs Tomb is a stable putt-and-approach disc rated 3/4/0/1 — flat-topped, low-profile and beaded, and a disc Infinite calls one of the most popular in its line.
Zero turn and one fade means a straight flight with a small, predictable finish. Infinite says it has “just the right amount of stability to cover ground while threading the needle on approach shots, whether thrown forehand or backhand.” Reviewer averages from 205 reviews read 3.1/4/0/1.1, a match. At 3 speed it asks for no arm speed: slower players can drive with it, and stronger ones can count on it not turning over on an approach.
Infinite sells it as a crossover too — it “can also be used as a crossover mid-range, driving putter, or to hold the line while putting from distance or in moderate winds.” OTB Discs places it behind the Ruin, Infinite’s more overstable approach disc, with “a much straighter flight.” It won’t handle strong wind or a shot that needs a hard fade.
Infinite places it with its Egyptian molds without further explanation. A tomb is a burial chamber or monument for the dead, like those built for ancient Egypt’s rulers.
The Tomb has had more than twenty runs and one of Infinite’s longest plastic lists: C-, D-, G-, I-, N- and S-Blend and R-Blend Soft among the base plastics, plus glow, gummy, halo, swirly, splatter and metal-flake runs. PDGA approved in March 2018.
