About the Hunter

Hunter: Legacy Discs’s stable putt & approach

Zero fade is the number to notice on the Legacy Discs Hunter. It is one of very few discs in the archive with no finish at all.

Combined with zero turn, that means it holds whatever angle you put on it from release to landing — no flip, no correction, nothing. Four glide keeps it in the air a little longer than a low-glide putter. For approach shots where you want the disc to travel dead straight and stop, that is exactly right. In wind, a disc with nothing to fade back on is at the mercy of the air.

What the numbers mean

Speed2How fast it has to be thrown
Glide4How long it stays in the air
Turn0Right at high speed
Fade0Left as it slows down

Flies like…

How much the Hunter turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
