The Discraft Ringer is a 4-speed approach disc with a dependable finish. Zero turn against two of fade means it holds whatever angle it is given and then leans left; nothing surprising happens at the end of the flight.
That makes it an approach and drop-shot disc rather than a putting-line disc. Four speed and four glide carry it further than a putter, so it covers the space between the circle and a midrange, and the fade brings it down rather than letting it skip away from the basket.
It will not fly straight to the end and it will not turn over. If what you want is an approach disc that lands flat where it was aimed, the two of fade is working against you.
How much the Ringer turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
Measured by the PDGA when the Ringer was certified. Each card names discs that share the number, so you can feel it in the hand.
