The AGL Locust is an overstable fairway driver that sits between the Sycamore and the Cedar in speed. A touch of turn off a hard release gives way to a strong fade, which makes it a reliable headwind and forehand driver, and AGL markets it as an undercover distance driver — a 9-speed that goes further than the number suggests once you get on it. The rim is beadless.
The Locust is one of only two AGL moulds with a second PDGA certification to its name. The original was approved in June 2020; a variant listed by the PDGA as Locust X was approved in May 2023 with the same diameter and rim width but a taller profile, 1.9 cm against 1.6 cm. It never reached retail under that name.
