Four fade with three glide makes the Legacy Discs Recluse a midrange built to finish and stop.
It will not flip regardless of power, it will not float past its target, and it will always come back left. That is exactly what you want from a wind mid and a forced-hyzer disc, and exactly what you do not want if you are trying to hold a straight line. Against the Badger it gives up a point of speed for the same finish, which makes it the slower and more controllable of the two.
How much the Recluse turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
Measured by the PDGA when the Recluse was certified. Each card names discs that share the number, so you can feel it in the hand.
