About the Robin

Robin: Stokely’s stable fairway driver

The Stokely Robin is a straight speed-7 fairway driver, the slightly more stable partner to the Lark, built to carve straight lines.

With -1 turn and 1.5 fade the Robin does a little less of everything than the Lark: a touch less turn, the same soft finish. Stokely describes it as having very little turn and a slow, consistent fade. Thrown flat by an average arm it flies straight and drifts gently left at the end; strong arms get a driver that holds a flat line under power without flipping, and slower arms see it as a straight disc that fades a little early. Glide of 5 carries it well for the speed. It handles a crosswind better than the Lark but is still not a headwind driver.

It is the straight fairway driver, the disc for a line that has to stay a line for 300 feet. The limit is the finish: 1.5 fade is not a hyzer-finish number, so it will not come back hard for a shot around a corner.

The robin is the common thrush of lawns and hedgerows, named under the brand’s bird theme. It was a second-wave mold, announced as upcoming in March 2025 and PDGA approved February 3, 2025. It is 21.1 cm across, 1.6 cm tall with a 1.7 cm rim, beadless. Skyline Disc Golf lists it as 7/5/0/2; Stokely’s own 7/5/-1/1.5 is used here.

First run shipped in Thermo and Meso.

How much the Robin turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
