About the Belleair

Belleair: Climo’s stable mid-range driver

The Climo Belleair is a stable, beaded speed-5 midrange: the control mid in the Climo lineup, with a straight flight and a dependable finish.

Zero turn and 2 fade reads as straight-then-left. Thrown flat it holds its line through the middle of the flight and fades predictably at the end; thrown on a hyzer it stays on the hyzer. Glide of 4 is modest, so it lands where you aim rather than carrying past. Players with big arms will find it slightly overstable at full power, which is the point of a control mid: it resists turning over on a hard throw. Slower arms get a reliable hyzer disc that does not need to be thrown hard to finish. It handles moderate wind without flipping.

It fills the dependable-midrange slot, the disc for a 250-foot shot that has to end in a specific spot. The faster, glidier Coast covers the straight-and-long lines the Belleair will not reach, since 4 glide and 2 fade shorten it.

The name is Belleair, the street Ken Climo grew up on in Clearwater, Florida, near the Belleair Golf Club. It was one of the three prototypes that launched Climo Disc Golf in January 2025 and was PDGA approved January 20, 2025. Climo describes it as beaded; TryDiscs records it as beadless.

It is the mold with the widest plastic spread in the lineup, shipping in all four base lines: Trophy, Major, Victory and Signature, plus a glow Trophy test run and a 30 Year Hall of Fame stamp.

Flies like…

How much the Belleair turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
