About the Coast

Coast: Climo’s stable mid-range driver

The Climo Coast is a neutral, glidey speed-6 midrange built to bridge the gap between the Belleair and the Streak: a mid you throw for straight distance rather than a hard finish.

The -1 turn and 1 fade cancel out into a long, gently S-shaped flight. Thrown flat by an average arm it drifts a little right, glides, and comes back to straight at the end. Six glide is high for a midrange, so it carries further than the Belleair on the same throw, and the slight dome adds to that. Big arms will turn it over on a full-power flat throw and should throw it on a hyzer to get a straight line; slower arms get a mid that flies further than they expect without needing to be thrown hard. Wind is the weakness, because a headwind pushes it right.

In the bag it is the straight-line midrange, the disc for open 280-foot shots where the Belleair would fade short. Its limit is the finish: with only 1 fade it will not hook back for you, so it is not the disc for a hyzer that has to come around a corner.

The Coast is Ken Climo’s sixth mold, a nod to Florida’s Gulf Coast around his home in Clearwater. PDGA approved March 16, 2026, alongside the Cliff. At 21.5 cm it is the largest-diameter mold in the lineup, and it is beadless.

It shipped first in Victory Line, with Signature Line prototypes and a special-blend limited run.

Flies like…

How much the Coast turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
