About the Bard

Bard: Westside Discs’s overstable mid-range driver

The Westside Discs Bard is an overstable midrange — three of fade with no turn.

Three fade at midrange speed is a lot of finish, which makes this a utility mid: forced hyzers, wind, and approaches that have to come in hard from the left. Four glide keeps it from dropping too early but will not carry it past your target. Zero turn means it will not flip no matter how hard you rip it. This is not an everyday straight mid — keep it for the shots a neutral mid cannot hold, and expect it to fade.

What the numbers mean

Speed5How fast it has to be thrown
Glide4How long it stays in the air
Turn0Right at high speed
Fade3Left as it slows down

Flies like…

How much the Bard turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
