Z Lite: Discraft’s lightweight plastic

“Extra Lightweight”

Discraft — team.discraft.com/plastics

Z Lite is Discraft’s lightweight plastic: a Z base with reduced weight, for discs well under the mould’s maximum.

Lightweight plastics are for lower arm speeds. The disc is easier to get up to speed, which helps distance for players who can’t reach a full-weight driver’s speed. Five moulds are listed.

It costs stability in wind, and the voids in the fill cost some durability against the base Z. Don’t expect it to fight a headwind.
