The Discraft Avenger SS is an understable 10-speed distance driver rated 10/5/-3/1. Three points of turn against a single point of fade means it stands up early, rides right, and settles rather than hooking. Five glide keeps it in the air while it does that. SS stands for Super Straight, and for a moderate arm that is exactly what it does.
The base Avenger (11/5/0/3) is a different disc entirely — this is the version that gives distance to players who cannot yet force a stable driver to work. Hyzer-flips, long turnovers, rollers and tailwind drives are its shots. What it will not do is hold a flat line for a power thrower, who will turn it over and burn it into the ground, and it is the wrong disc in a headwind.
How much the Avenger SS turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
