About the Buzzz

Buzzz: Discraft’s stable mid-range driver

The Discraft Buzzz is a straight midrange, and the disc most other mids get measured against. One of turn against one of fade is a balanced flight — it goes where it is aimed and finishes gently.

That makes it the default mid for most bags. Thrown flat it holds a straight line and lands soft. It takes a hyzer or an anhyzer without arguing, which is why it works as a teaching disc for angle control as well as a scoring disc inside 300 feet. Four glide keeps it up without floating away from the target. The straightness is also the limit. In a real headwind there is not enough fade to bring it back, and players wanting a mid that finishes hard reach for the Buzzz OS instead.

Flies like…

How much the Buzzz turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
