The Discraft XL is an understable fairway driver from the original Discraft lineup. Two of turn against one of fade means it goes right and mostly stays there.
That makes it a turnover disc and a straight driver for moderate arms. Seven speed with four glide gives it a workable flight without a full run-up, and it flips to flat off a hyzer without rolling. It suits gaps where a hard left finish would be a problem. One fade is very little finish. Thrown hard or into wind the XL turns over and runs, and there is nothing at the end to bring it back on line.
How much the XL turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
Measured by the PDGA when the XL was certified. Each card names discs that share the number, so you can feel it in the hand.
