The AGL Cedar is an overstable distance driver and the disc AGL built to replace its own first mould. When the Cypress went out of production the Cedar took over the top of the bag, PDGA-approved in March 2020 and described by AGL as the flagship driver in the lineup. Speed 11 on a beadless rim with three points of fade, it is built for arm speed rather than finesse — forehands, headwinds, and backhands cranked out on a deep anhyzer that you want to come all the way back.
Every AGL mould is named after a tree, and that is not decoration: AGL pairs each disc with a tree seed you can plant, and works with Tree-Nation to plant more on top of that. The Cedar runs in Alpine, AGL’s premium line, which Innova molds using 20–40% regrind of the same plastic that goes into Champion.
How much the Cedar turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
