About the Instinct

Instinct: Discmania’s stable fairway driver

The Discmania Instinct is a control fairway driver — 7 speed, five glide, no turn, two of fade. It is the disc you throw when you want to know exactly where it is going to end up.

Zero turn means it won’t flip on a flat throw, and two of fade gives a reliable finish without pulling it out of the fairway. Five glide is generous at this speed, so you get distance without having to muscle it. It works as a straight seven, as a hyzer, and it will hold an anhyzer if you set the angle. A sensible first fairway driver, and one that stays in the bag after you own others.

Flies like…

How much the Instinct turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
