About the Wasp

Wasp: Discraft’s stable mid-range driver

The Discraft Wasp is a midrange built to finish. Zero turn with two of fade means it will not flip out of a line and it will always lean left at the end — the same shot every time.

That makes it a wind mid and a hyzer disc: forced angles around a corner, approach shots that need to sit down rather than skip on, and forehands that will not turn over. Three glide is low, so it drops when it is done rather than drifting, which lets you throw it at a target instead of past one.

What you will not get is distance or a straight line. Three of glide and two of fade take the flight out of it early, and there is no turn in it to hold a long right-hand line.

Flies like…

How much the Wasp turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
