The Innova Mako3 is a straight-flying midrange rated 5/5/0/0. Zero turn paired with zero fade is unusual and it is the whole point of the disc: thrown flat it holds the line it is given from release to landing, with no bend at either end. Whatever angle you put on it, it keeps. Glide of 5 carries it a full midrange distance without floating past the target.
It replaced the original Mako (4/5/0/0) with a slightly wider rim — 1.4 cm against 1.2 cm on the PDGA sheet — which is where the extra point of speed comes from. Against the Roc3 (5/4/0/3) it is the opposite disc: the Roc3 finishes left, the Mako3 does not finish at all. That makes it the tunnel-shot and dead-straight-approach mid, and a common first midrange because it does exactly one thing predictably. It is not a wind disc, and it will not come back if you release it off-axis — an anhyzer stays an anhyzer all the way down. Champion and Star hold the flat flight longest; DX and XT beat in toward a slight turn.
How much the Mako3 turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
