The MVP Mass is an overstable putt and approach disc, PDGA-approved on 31 August 2026 and not yet on shelves as of late September. MVP has not published flight numbers for it, so the speed of 4 and glide of 2 shown here are inferred from its PDGA measurements, and turn and fade are left blank until MVP releases the official ratings.
What the certification does tell you is the shape: a 21.1 cm disc standing 1.6 cm tall on a 1.2 cm rim, with a shallow 1.2 cm rim depth and no bead. That is the same footprint as the Dynamic Discs Culprit and the Discraft Zone, the low-profile, low-glide approach shape that drops out of the air rather than floating past the basket. The one retailer to post expectations so far, Armory Disc Golf, estimates it at 4/2/0/3.5 and describes it as a slower, lower-glide and considerably more overstable relative of the Axiom Tempo. Treat that as a retailer’s read, not a spec.
If it flies to that shape it slots in as a wind and forehand approach disc, the one you reach for when a Tempo or Envy would carry too far. A disc with that little glide will not be a distance putter and will need real speed on it to reach the basket from further out.
The name fits MVP’s physics naming and its GYRO overmold, which concentrates the disc’s mass in a denser outer rim. MVP has not explained the name itself; this page will be updated when the disc and its numbers are released.
