About the Matrix

Matrix: MVP’s stable mid-range driver

The MVP Matrix is a midrange that wants to work rather than float. Four glide and two of fade means it comes down when you tell it to instead of riding out past the pin.

The single point of turn takes the edge off, so it will hold a flat line for most of the flight before the fade takes over. That combination — modest glide, real finish — makes it an approach mid more than a distance mid. It is the disc for a controlled shot into a tight green where you want the flight to end, not extend. If you are chasing maximum midrange distance, something with more glide will beat it.

What the numbers mean

Speed5How fast it has to be thrown
Glide4How long it stays in the air
Turn-1Right at high speed
Fade2Left as it slows down

Flies like…

How much the Matrix turns and fades depends on how hard it is thrown. These three shapes are drawn from the manufacturer’s numbers, not from measured throws.
